Flames Restaurant – Four Seasons

High up on the rocky Witwatersrand – or as we call it here in Jozi, the Rand – is where you’ll find us. Despite being in the middle of South Africa’s largest city, our Westcliff Hotel feels like a chic hillside village. It has nine sun-splashed villas woven with courtyards, fountains and gardens. Take a ride up our glass elevator for dinner and drinks at View.  Meet friends for a traditional braai (barbecue) at Flames Restaurant. If not, simply step out onto your room’s balcony.  You will enjoy a quiet moment as you admire the endless canopy of jacaranda trees. they stretch out before you, which, come springtime. They will blanket our northern suburb streets in a sea of purple blooms.

Flames Restaurant has an urban-casual menu featuring a smattering of reinterpreted South African classics, prepared in an outdoor braai kitchen.

Sip sundowners on the terrace while our chefs prepare elevated reinterpretations of regional favorites.  Think dry-spice–rubbed sea bass or the best grilled burger you’ve ever tasted – that use fresh, of-the-moment ingredients. Therefore, it is an environment that is most suitable for meetings as well as you gaze down at the Joburg Zoo. The breez in summer is breath taking and for you to understand you need to come and let us treat you like a King or Queen you deserve.
